Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) - Tap

An Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) produces steel from a mixture of scrap and direct reduced iron (DRI), using the heat generated from the electric arc to form molten steel.

Our SDS - Slag Detection System monitors the onset of slag carryover towards the end of the tap , maintaining steel quality and preventing equipment damage.
