Cold Reducing Mill

The purpose of the reducing mill is to reduce the steel’s thickness to required specifications. Cold rolling reduces the thickness of the steel without further altering the internal properties of the metal. It produces a steel with closer dimensional tolerances than hot rolling alone.

By accurately and continuously measuring the temperature during cold rolling, operators can verify that the steel temperature is within desired tolerances.
