Ammonia

Ammonia
Ammonia is typically manufactured on an industrial scale using the Haber-Bosch process to mix hydrogen and nitrogen. The hydrogen for this process is produced from hydrocarbons through steam reforming.

The reforming process requires accurate temperature monitoring, ideally through non-contact methods which won’t contaminate the gases involved. Infrared technology is ideal, but must overcome interference from combustion products.

AMETEK Land offers dedicated solutions for the vital reformer stage of the ammonia production process. We provide proven options for both periodic spot measurements and continuous thermal monitoring, supported by our extensive industry experience and knowledge.
