Tin Bath Exit

The flat glass leaves the tin bath and is transferred to the lehr for annealing. Temperature measurements at the bath exit provide an opportunity for quality control before the annealing process begins.

Accurate temperature monitoring provides an indication of product quality, supporting consistency across the process. In addition, using a thermal scanner at this point can detect faults and uneven heat patterns in the glass.

Measurements at the tin bath exit support quality control, allowing substandard product to be removed before the annealing stage, saving time and energy. This monitoring also provides confirmation that remaining product is of the required standard.
