AMETEK Land, Land Instruments International Ltd, formally announce that from the 29th May 2018 the Landmark Graphic (LMG) will be discontinued from new product sales, plus the LMG AE, LMG AR and LMG GS. Future sales for applications including Aluminium Extrusion and Aluminium Strip will require SPOT AL EQS upgrades.
The LMG will be superseded by the
LMG MkII which is backwards compatible with standard LMG and
HotSpotIR applications. Orders for the old LMG models will cease to be accepted immediately. Production of the old LMG models has ceased however existing LMGs will still be repairable for the immediate future. Remaining parts will be available to our qualified field and factory service teams and our internal technical support engineers. Should certain repair parts become unavailable customers will be offered an upgrade path towards a new LMG MkII replacement.
The
LMG MkII offers touch screen functionality with context sensitive virtual “buttons”, making configuration much simpler and faster. The full colour LED display has 5 x the pixel resolution of the previous LMG and thedisplay is much more visible from a distance or glancing viewing angle. LMG MkII retains the identical panel
cut out and thermometer and output signal connectors so replacing an old processor with a new LMG MkII is simple. The overall case length is shortened, and newly designed equivalent I/O cards and Maths cards are available. Standard LMG MkII models include RS485 serial communications as standard.
A full range of spare parts are available from AMETEK Land and will continue to be supplied as standard items until 1st June 2023 or until stocks are exhausted.
