LAND to Showcase ImagePro Glass AI Capabilities at Glasstec 2026

At Glasstec 2026, taking place from 20 to 23 October in Düsseldorf, Germany, visitors can explore LAND's ImagePro Glass AI capabilities for batch coverage analysis, flame detection and furnace monitoring.

glasstec 2026 logoDeveloped specifically for glass melt tank monitoring, ImagePro Glass AI is a Windows-based image processing platform that combines temperature measurement, batch coverage analysis and flame monitoring within a single integrated environment. 

By supporting configuration and real-time analysis from multiple thermal imagers, it provides operators with a comprehensive view of furnace conditions from one platform.

At this year's Glasstec exhibition, LAND will showcase the benefits of the latest software, including new artificial intelligence capabilities designed to provide greater visibility of furnace conditions and support more informed operational decisions.

One of these capabilities is neural network-based batch detection. Traditionally, operators have often relied on temperature thresholds to distinguish raw batch material from molten glass, but changing furnace conditions, flame patterns and operating parameters can make this approach difficult to apply consistently.

ImagePro Glass AI automatically identifies and tracks raw batch material across the furnace surface, enabling pixel-level batch coverage analysis. This provides a more reliable and repeatable method of monitoring batch coverage than conventional temperature-based techniques.

The software also calculates and tracks batch line position automatically, helping operators monitor deviations from target conditions and better understand how batch distribution can influence furnace hot spots and melting performance.

ImagePro Glass AI - Thermal ImageIn addition, ImagePro Glass AI includes automated flame detection, capable of recognising flame presence during both standard and alternating firing conditions. This helps reduce flame interference during batch analysis while minimising the need for manual configuration.

Alongside these capabilities, the platform provides intelligent alarms, historical data logging, an integrated history viewer and configurable regions of interest. Process integration is supported through Modbus TCP, I/O modules and alarm outputs, allowing data from the system to be incorporated into wider plant monitoring and control strategies.

For glass manufacturers, the benefit is not simply seeing thermal images, but gaining meaningful process information that supports day-to-day furnace management.
