AMETEK Land has released a new smart application pyrometer for reheat furnace applications.
The new
SPOT+ M390 is one of the first single-unit solutions for temperature measurement in reheat furnace applications and is a suitable upgrade from the now-discontinued FTS.
The 3.9 µm spectral response gives the pyrometer the ability to see through any red or orange flames in smoky atmospheres with minimal disruption.
Steelmakers will also be able to achieve better process optimisation due to an integrated background compensation without the need for an external processor. Accurate temperature measurements during the reheat process minimise the risk of damage, reduce fuel consumption and Increase throughput.
