AMETEK Land to Present on NOx Reduction in Furnaces at Şişecam International Glass Conference

AMETEK Land will deliver a technical presentation on NOx reduction using in-furnace thermal imaging at the Şişecam International Glass Conference, combined with 34th Şişecam Glass Symposium, happening November 21 – 22 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Philippe Kerbois, Regional Sales Manager EMEA – Glass from AMETEK Land and Neil Simpson, Consultant at Simpson Combustion & Energy, will deliver a presentation as part of a session entitled 2020 NOx, which will focus on how to lower the NOx levels in a furnace and reference case studies to show how thermal imaging can be used to optimise the thermal profile and establish sources of parasitic air.  

The presentation will cover how optimisation both reduces energy and NO and include how thermal NOx is generated when high flame temperatures are produced and will give real-life examples of when it is possible to see which flame is generating the NOx and how to reduce these levels.  In summing up, the presentation will look at how the thermal imaging NOx filter has the potential to reduce industrial NOx levels today, 2020 and beyond.
