AMETEK Land India's Calibration Laboratory Secures Best in Class for NABL Accreditation

The AMETEK Land calibration laboratory in India† has been assessed and accredited against the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard in the field of calibration, as approved by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The laboratory secured the best calibration measurement capability of any laboratory in India for the 0 to 550 °C range.

The ISO/IEC 17025 standard specifically evaluates a laboratory’s technical competence, impartiality and performance. The evaluation is carried out independently by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

AMETEK Land’s India laboratory was established in 2011, when it began calibration and repair operations. It was the first OEM (original equipment manufacturer)-approved facility to receive NABL accreditation, which it achieved in an impressively short time frame. The laboratory is accredited to offer thermal calibration in the range of 0 to 1600 °C for tests carried out in-house and 0 to 1200 °C for on-site calibrations.

The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories is an autonomous body that operates under the aegis of the Indian government’s Department of Science & Technology. It was established to provide regulators and industry with third-party laboratory accreditation to testing, calibration and medical laboratories in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards.

The NABL assessment recognised the continuing investment that AMETEK Land has made in ensuring its calibration laboratory systems and infrastructure are best in class in India for non-contact infrared pyrometer/thermometer thermal calibration. AMETEK Land’s NABL certificate carries the reference number CC-2041 and confirms its scope of accreditation.
